How much of the season is out that people are loving the season?

Then I guess you don't like Aubrey Plaza! Apparently she and Mike White are friends and the role was written with her in mind. She said it's the closest she's ever felt to a character.

I tried to make mention of it earlier in the thread, but yes, this needs to be discussed.

Real or prosthetic?

I didn’t see anything!

Me neither. But I was sitting next to my husband and working very hard to give off “this scene is not particularly interesting to me” energy, ha.

Haha, same same.

I loved the first episode. I really enjoy this show. I wish there were more content like this out there.

He made me so angry.

I know the PP mentioned that they weren't necessarily planning a second season, but this does seem like a huge tonal shift for the character. I have to remember Tanya's not all that great either cuz I kind of wanted to punch him in the face

Not to me. All of my red flag radars went off whenever I saw him in Season 1. I had no idea there would be a Season 2 but I was surprised in Season 1 that he didn't scam her somehow. Apparently my instincts were right.

This is open to interpretation, but I took the dialogue about workplace claims to mean sexual harassment claims against him. People like that often act subtly in the beginning, with a keen sense of exactly how much they can push while keeping the target unsure whether anything objectionable happened.

I think I replayed a few times.

But yes, I absolutely think it was deliberate.

I have to admit that the Aubrey Plaza character hit a little close to home re: "you don't watch the news, etc." I'm not nearly as uptight as she is, but I have often wondered if I could just care about the news/current events less and how that would feel.

I think this will be a good season.

I don’t anymore. I stopped after Jan 6 and nothing happened to the Orange Menace. Hearing about his crimes and obnoxiousness all the time make me do crazy mad.

I have no idea what is going on in this midterm election and I don’t care. Feels good actually.

Same. I used to lobby the Hill when I was younger. Even ran a small Political Action Committee at one point so politics was my life. I slowly became disillusioned and moved into advocacy that isn't Hill focused but between Newtown, the orange menace, and January 6th I had to take a step back and as they say: "where ignorance is bliss"

I love Ep 1 so much more than all of Season 1. Really beautiful scenery, compelling characters, Aperol Spritzes LOL and tons foreshadowing.

Same role she played on Parks & Rec. Sarcastic, critical, chronically unhappy. So sounds like if she is close to those characters it’s not a difficult acting job, if any acting is involved at all. Just memorize lines.

I have a feeling they’re using oranges as foreshadowing, like in The Godfather.

Remember when Mime White did Chuck and Buck, and when he and his dad were on Amazing Race?
