The point was...his concern was about the constitutional duties part...not the protection part.

To protect pence. They were doing their jobs, it was likely planned to happen just as it did, except Pence refused to budge. Called the bluff as it were. It IS shocking that more people didn’t die that day, almost like people were told to threaten without harming.

Unfortunately the USS is being thrown under the bus, probably by some of their own.

After last night’s hearing I’m convinced this is the answer. The point of marching those people up there was to get Pence out of the building. Trump knew his detail would eventually remove him, and because he is a violent psychopath, didn’t care if Pence or his detail were killed. Just wanted them out of the way.

Oh I would. It’s the culture of the place. It’s just a matter of time till this culture catches up with USSS. The USSS is a disaster waiting to happen. When it does happen people will sit around and say oh we could have never foreseen this.
