It only works if you are a size 0 or maybe a 2 |
It's been a while, Hysterical Poster! How ya been?
|
You sound like a peach |
Sorry if the truth hurts. |
NP. You don't even have a point--it's not a body-conscious dress. It would look good on even a size 8 pear shape as long as the arms were reasonably toned. |
Oh look, it's the poster who always yells at everyone to support MLMs. I can't believe people care enough about any of this silliness to be "embarrassed" for the couple. It's not that serious. |
Eh. It's a nice enough dress for the relatively low cost makes me wonder where they cut corners. |
The Brits call this "morning dress." It's daytime formal wear. Not common in the U.S. but it should be.
|
| You are making too big a deal about it. No one cares what you are wearing unless you are going in stripper chic clothes. Just wear a nice shirt and skirt and you are done |
Does it mean essentially mismatched jacket and pants, bright tie? |
Yes. That's how you know it's not "formal"! |
Before 6:00, the proper formal attire is a morning suit. I realize that this is not something everyone knows, but I am surprised at how many here don’t.

I normally wouldn’t call out something like this, but since you’ve decided that ignorance is “sad” — You have not seen “white tie” at an embassy in the am. You’ve seen “morning suits,” which are a different thing. |
Maybe the groom, but he will still look ridiculous. You know it wasn’t his idea, poor guy, he’s in for a long road with his new wife. Hope he likes being a doormat. |
At least clean clothes |
