Alone or with her parents?

Her parents were dead obviously. She actually was out of house for her 25 year marriage till he dropped dead, then her two kids dropped dead, her parents dropped dead.

She just gave house to her 32 year old grandson

When married or when she wants to leave. I enjoy multigenerational homes.

No one else wants their house back so you can run around naked and have sex with spouse whenever you want? Just me?

Me too. Kids need to be fully out by 22, and out for college in dorms at 18. Happy to host Sunday dinners but no inter generational living.

Move out when they marry. Get a job out of college or grad school. Stay at home and save money so that they can buy a house as soon as they maryy and move out. Expect kids to be married, with a career and be a home owner before 30.

Stayed at home for four years to save money. When I left the house at the age of 25, I had enough money for a 50% down payment on SFH in McLean in 2000. Finished my final mortgage payment in 2006, at the age of 31.

They can still get married and have a family if they want.

I'm fine with my kids living here for a couple of years post college. They save $, are typically out of house all day and go for dinner with friends or the gym after work, so hardly see them. Love spending time with them when they are home and we have plenty of space in our house which is very close to the city where they work.

How do they know how to live without Mommy and Daddy if they don't move out until they get married? Learning to live on your own is a major milestone in adulthood.

For college or after high school is over.

One has a couple disorders and we are still expecting that and she has her therapies and tutors.

Good for you.
Others moved out for college, then work, saved their bonuses and paychecks via working a lot and having roomed, then bought at age 25c rented it out during grad school, sold it later when in other city and married, bought a house again.

This has to be a female child. I'd never marry a guy who still lived with his mom.
