Move out when they marry. Get a job out of college or grad school. Stay at home and save money so that they can buy a house as soon as they maryy and move out. Expect kids to be married, with a career and be a home owner before 30.
Stayed at home for four years to save money. When I left the house at the age of 25, I had enough money for a 50% down payment on SFH in McLean in 2000. Finished my final mortgage payment in 2006, at the age of 31.
Good for you. Others moved out for college, then work, saved their bonuses and paychecks via working a lot and having roomed, then bought at age 25c rented it out during grad school, sold it later when in other city and married, bought a house again.
