Instacart shoppers are SO BAD

This may be more of an issue in Fl, since most orders are most likely SFH so the ones that are delivering just don't know the expectation. Some people are ok meeting them downstairs, others will ask for them to come up.

But I can't blame them for asking. Most shoppers do understand it's part of the job and will either avoid apartments, or just deliver to the door.

That could definitely be true. In another major city I lived in, they had no problem with the (large) complex and literally never once asked me to meet them at the lobby. This has happened constantly since I moved to FL and it could be part of it. But I also think there's a lazy workforce in FL in general tbh

You are also not in Fl?

DC

$17 payout in Fl is very different than a $17 DC payout.

Both will be picked up, regardless of your wife's minimum.

Instacart may have to offer a bonus in DC, where in Fl someone will take it without it.

Because I want to and am a busy person with a busy schedule. Why is that so hard for you to understand?

Then accept the substandard service as agency cost and quit your complaining. And I guarantee you are NOT that busy. Just lazy.

No, i will not. I file a complaint and reduce the tip each time it happens and I will continue getting groceries delivered and you have zero say over it. I make lots more money than you and am way busier. Get over it.

No one cares lady. I don’t work for instacart or use instacart. But please keep replying because I find your posts totally entertaining!

They usually shop multiple orders, so she's probably taking multiple orders paying less than $25 But both equal about $25. If not, and she's taking two+ $25 orders, good for her.

No thanks, I'd rather pay others to do it and make money with the time I save! I have wayyyy better things to do than grocery shop

Like posting on here. Repeatedly

This is definitely a troll.

Recently a shopper dumped my 50 items on my doorstep. No bags, no boxes. I thought it was a joke. He also took a photo of the pile and sent it to me as proof of delivery. So yeah, I can understand some of the complaints. I haven't had too many other issues. It's kind of a crapshoot because you can't choose your shopper.

Did you pay for bags?

Walmart delivers my orders even though I choose shipping. And I don't tip. Walmart does the tipping.
I like it. I get what I ordered, someone gets paid for the job, win win. Contactless. They email me to let me know they are coming and when it's delivered.
And if it's wrong Walmart corrects the problem. I have to give Target their props too. They correct anything that was messed up.

I use it to do curbside pickup at Wegman's (I have done delivery too) and have never had an issue. Perhaps it's the store you are shopping?

Because busy people don’t post repeatedly on DCUM. Duh.

Anonymous wrote:How much are you tipping?

I usually set the tip at about $10 for like $150 worth of stuff. Lately I've been cutting it down when the items come completely horrible, with half the items missing or me being forced to go out to the street to get them. I bump up the tip for great service but lately that rarely happens and it's mostly a win if I can just get functional service

Found your answer.

So not even 10% of the order. No wonder you’re getting such crap service. Set the tip properly from the start of the order so that the person is motivated. You’re scraping the bottom of the barrel because of your own cheapness.

Well it's actually above the minimum request, and this is not exactly going out to Per Se for a night on the town. Instacart shoppers are paid hourly in addition to tips, and like I said, mine is on the more generous side. Have you ever used this service before?

LOL. No, it’s not, but keep telling yourself that.
