Isn't SFS the only private school with 10 national merit semifinalists or something like that? |

Is it for the educator for the college placement? |
But most NMSFs didn't get in EA/ED. LOL. Sidwell CCO is really subpar. |

It’s not a for profit enterprise. They are not “mak[ing]” money. But yes, I agree that teacher compensation should be higher. |
This. Someone should ask Bryan or the board how much tuition revenue is allocated to interest and principal payments on the long-term debt. |
| There are 16 or 18 national merit semifinalists. However, the majority of top students who have taken the rigor courses have not got in. The EA/ED students are either recruited athletes, URM or those with a hook. The process is not transparent so college AO may not know who are the real top students. |
| I teach at a private preschool and honestly I hope we raise tuition and salaries. The risk and stress just aren’t worth it for what we make and there’s going to be a teacher exodus at some point. |
If only he had a partner to share child expenses with. Oh, right, he happily does! |
His partner doesn’t have a job and they were both unemployed prior to 2021. |
partly true. STA was higher this year. but for the lower school years this figure is much higher than other big3 |
I’d like to hear from one SFS teacher - just one - who gets 6.7% increase. |
STA is both more expensive and charges the same tuition for all grades, 4-12. So whatever point you’re making is wrong. STA is the most expensive school in the DMV. NCS also changes the same tuition for all grades. It’s US tuition is cheaper by a few hundred dollars but their LS tuition is obviously significantly more expensive. |
And don’t think other private schools also don’t know this. What better coup for a private school that to recruit away the top teachers from a rival because they were willing to compensate them marginally better. |
