Nathan Lane (whom i love usually) was the shark jump for me. A caricature. This show is so bad. Officially hate watching

I am liking it more and more.

Aunt Ada had a touch of a British accent this episode. So weird.

The show is so perfect for hate watching. That’s why I do it every time. Nathan Lane‘s accent was insane.

Even Carrie Coon’s upper crust accent is so funny. But she’s actually doing a good job.

Also I follow her on Twitter and she was actually eight months pregnant in one of the scenes they filmed with Clara Barton in upstate New York. Pretty amazing how the dresses can hide all that!

It’s really the dialogue that is so cringe in this whole show.

Nathan Lane sounded like Foghorn Leghorn in that last episode.

I think they might be using Nathan Lane to fill the Maggie Smith type roll from Downton. Christine Baranski can't seem to pull it off. She just comes across as mean. So they will leave the camp to Lane.

I wish they would just scratch everyone but Peggy Scott and her family and just start over with a show about them.

I am enjoying it, but apart from Mr Russell and Peggy Scott, none of the characters DO anything. It's all such a vacuous existence.

So Peggy clearly left a husband behind and is trying to divorce him, right? The issues with her dad, fleeing to NY with no job or place to live, meeting with the lawyer. Do we think he shows up in the season finale?

Another hate watcher here! That actor who plays Bertha cannot act for her life. At least there’s Christine Baranski. It’s so bad but I keep watching. Kind of like Emily in Paris

I agree! and wth is that stilted accent or way of talking. She sounds like she is trying to imitate how people spoke in the old movies right after talkies came about. It is so awful.

Anyone watch the latest episode?

There is still way too much downstairs foolishness happening for my taste. Who cares about battling butlers.

Christine Baranski’s scenery chewing in that last scene with the maid was insane. “leave me at ONCE!”

Also why is the maid whispering in her ear at the end when they were the only two people in the room? So stupid.

I will keep hate wacthing though. It’s like a 4th grader wrote it.
