It’s her sister. She went tk Yale School of Drama. I don’t think she is good in this. Not sure about other projects.

Phylicia is 22 years older than Audra, so more like mother and daughter.

I just binged this and while it was a slow, wooden start, I got really into it. I love Bertha’s character and think Carrie Xoon does a strong job - her facial expressions speak volumes. She and her tv husband are great, their kids are dull as dishwater.

I’m just chiming in to note that my mind was blown when I realized that the reverend (Aunt Ada’s husband) was played by Robert Sean Leonard, who for me will forever remain the tragic sensitive heartthrob from Dead Poet’s Society (and the older tragic nerdy heartthrob from House). Wow I feel old given his character in Gilded Age.

I think Phylicia is supposed to be the cool older cousin, which is perfect. I love both actresses.
