I adopted at 45 .., forties were easy … now I feel my age as DC is a teen. However, we have a good relationship and DC trusts me, which is great.
However, there are many adoptive parents in the area who were older than me. Many adopted kids end up needing special Ed services and mental health services - no boggy since many bio kids do as well. Join CASE if you can - And use an agency that offers post adoption services. Good luck OP |
