So sad. Hope the kid is okay. Anyone has any info? https://bethesdamagazine.com/bethesda-beat/schools/ashburton-elementary-student-seriously-injured-when-hit-by-car-near-bus-stop/ |
| Unless it’s helpful for the public to know I just don’t think you should post that on this type of forum. Seemingly noisy and insensitive to the family. |
| I hope he's OK. |
| Just stop. |
How is this forum different than Bethesda Beat and their facebook post, or the countless other media outlets reporting on this? |
| NP. It's an MCPS issue and helpful because bus stop safety is really important and there was a similar incident a few years ago wasn't there? |
Journalism is one thing, Facebook and this forum are another and are not “reporting.” |
If it’s helpful, but this post was not started to be helpful, rather prying and insensitive. |
|
I think it's important for people to be aware that this is all too common.
- someone who was hit by a car going to a bus stop several years ago |
Making people aware is important, but it seemingly wasn’t put in here for that purpose. Op asked if anyone has info and that’s intrusive. |
So you must also disapprove of discussing when guns are found in schools, or the Magruder shooting, or the sexual assault case in Damascus, or the previous hit-and-run with the high school student. People learn about stories through journalism and come to places like here to discuss them. |
| I believe poster is disapproving of the intrusive nature of the post. It does come off that way and I don’t know if I was a live one that I would want someone seeking info in such a noisy way. |
| *loved one |
| There’s literally no info on the link. Was the driver at fault? Was the kid at fault? It’s a pointless post. |
| It’s pointless, inappropriate, and noisy. |
