Is there something you eat when you feel like you are in the beginning stages of constipation? I do get enough fiber (in fact I think sometimes the high fiber cereal, beans, etc may sometimes lead me to feel bloated/constipated) and have been eating more fruit.
Would a fresh salad with extra olive oil be a good contender? A cup of ginger tea? |
| I forgot to mention I would do prunes but eating a lot of sugar at once gives me headaches. |
| We have chronically constipated people in the family, so prunes are always on hand. What I do is puree them, to make them more palatable. A fresh mango has a similar effect. There are also Calm magnesium supplements, for a gentler treatment. I can also eat large quantities of spinach or broccoli. |
| Huge serving of sautéed kale or collards with dinner usually gets the job done within 24 hours. |
| Raspberries have a ton of fiber. My grandmother would always insist we eat figs and then drink plenty of water whenever someone had issues going. |

Apple sauce
Licorice |
| I just take Calm Magnesium. There is a thread about it in Health right now. Straightens me right out. |
| Try drinking Kefir once a day. |
| Coffee? But honestly I don’t know if I’ve ever been constipated |
This must feel amazing. |
| Yogurt with berries and nuts |
| Coffee. Fig Newton bar with coffee for breakfast. |
| Oatmeal |
I thought most dairy was constipating. |
Not yogurt. It is very good for GI system because of the cultures. Add some chia seeds to it |
