We are expecting a girl and could use help with her name. Her big sister's name is Rose.
- Last name is a short, strong, one-syllable name that pairs well with most names. - Middle name is going to be a family name that doesn't go well with much, but is what it is. - Very important to me that her name be phonetic and easy to pronounce. I myself have a constantly mispronounced name and will not do that to my child. - A strong name is also important to me; nothing too precious. - We are not religious - I know some of these have a strong religious association. Not sure if that's weird. Here is my working list of names. I'd like thoughts on these, and/or ideas for other names to consider. Thanks! Ruth Ruby Grace Gloria Greta Etta Eve June |

Rose is lovely!
I like Tess with Rose. |

I think Eve is overdone with the Eva's out there
I like June but have a friend with an August not born in August and everyone comments on it. My great Grandmother was May and I think the name is lovely. |

Tess poster,
I also like Ida and Jane. Eve is my favorite on your list. |

Also: Maeve Hazel Vera Ava |

I like ruby but I love June.
I think Brooke is beautiful and pairs well with rose. We almost just used it for our daughter but went with something else. So if you want, I will gift it to you. 😃 |
Haha, no - it’s not. -OP |

Another vote for June (it's was on our shortlist and I still love it so much that if we were having another baby and it was a girl, that would be first or middle name for sure).
I also like PP's suggestion of Daisy. I would NOT give her a name that starts with "R" -- I don't like the idea of siblings with the same first initial for some reason. Here are some others I like: Nora Cleo Poppy (another flower name, I know, but less obvious) Alice Dora Holly Kate Vera Maggie Molly Sadie |
