FCV parents - has anyone heard anything?

Someone posts about how bad the DA and GAL league is with stats. The reply is your league and your team sucks!

Then someone posts about how mediocre the FCV teams are with stats. The reply is your team sucks!

And the assumption is always anyone that posts anything just wants to steal FCV players. I just like bursting the enlarged unwarranted ego that comes from beating all the teams that are not good enough for the ECNL

Facts are this, the local ECNL teams are bad.

Fact! So are the GA teams.

Look, I know it must suck to be mired in the ECNL Showcase bracket with only D2 Christian Colleges lining the sideline. I understand that you had hoped the collapse of DA would infuse your team with much needed talent. On a side note, that if such a scenario played out I find it odd that on a two win team you believe that your kid is not a part of the problem and is of course safe.

So, a new league formed in the ashes and older players look to stay with their current team. While some kids will move it won’t be enough to raise the profile of your crappy team. Perhaps YOU should be looking to move to a better team instead?

Until then, enjoy showcasing against NPL/ECNL R teams this season knowing NPL teams are likely laughing at ECNL and the money you are spending.

But you keep selling last place. It’s a bold move, let’s see how it works out.

Information is useful.

Here is some other information.

Last place in EVERY SINGLE age group in the ECNL Mid Atlantic is occupied by a NoVA team. Every single NoVA club is represented in last place.
Anonymous
In three of the ECNL age groups NoVA clubs have 3 out of 4 clubs in the bottom half of their league standings.

No single age group has less than half the local clubs represented in the bottom half of the league standings.

This would explain long lists and diatribes about the quality of clubs in the leagues hundreds and thousands of miles away, because there is no such quality here. The rest of ECNL laughs at you.

Why so angry sir. Lol if we all could be in a week conference like DA or Ga now we all could thump our chest and be first. Hu? Not all teams are in the bottom and believe me when I say top colleges line our showcases to watch our girls. Let me ask you a question where is your daughter going to go to college does she have on lookers and the type of interest that makes recruiters call and reach out with your kids coach and expresses major interest, does any of those colleges come out to league games to watch your kid? I would say probably not, but that does happen to a local DMV ECNL club/team and it will continue to happen. So keep on screaming false facts they fall on deaf ears.

Yes at lest o can speak for me, I wanted some of the talent to come out and combine with my kids team. Why? I love watching great soccer but it wasn’t to get more colleges to look at her, lol she has plenty and very high interest schools. I wanted those kids to come join so the speed of play picked up helping her and the team get ready for college in a couple years. It’s that easy. Her development gets stronger as better girls play along side her and against her.

Sorry, but these are just facts.

The local clubs are not national power houses.

You’re the one representing ECNL on a FCV thread and you’re calling me angry?

You’re desperate for talent because you know your team is bad. No level of patch will matter when you’re playing in the showcase bracket.

Sorry, but nobody flocks to a losing team. The patch is irrelevant when the team is that bad.

The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

As shocking as this may be for you to hear, but my kids recruiting has been just fine. Lots of quality programs.

You realize that coaches look at lots of kids in lots of leagues and that is ok.

I am really shocked on how parents take quite a lot of time writing very long posts in these threads about clubs and teams. Parents spend quite a time researching scores and standings of local teams. Why parents don’t invest similar amount of time and research about education and schools? What are the chances of soccer players go to college based on their league vs their education? Chances are that a player gets hurt either physically or emotionally and no longer be able to play the sport but still looking to attend college.

Obsessed parents get a life. Get kids enjoy the sport in whatever league and team they belong to. Let them be kids, teens, young adults. Don’t force them to lengthy hours of driving to practice just because this league sells this and the other sells that. Focus your energy in your children education and health and well-being, and get the best from sports.

There are no less than ten dedicated forums to schools within DCUM and one to soccer.

You May feel free to start here if you think that parents do not discuss school as well.

If leagues don’t matter, FCV should play ccl.

We’re doing just fine where we are. Why don’t you take your team over to NCSL?
