These are not hearings. They are depositions. This is not the time for Republican Members of Congress to audition for FOX. It is time for the investigators to ask relevant and coherent questions of the witnesses.

Why do republicans want a vote right away? Before there are any interviews with witnesses? I want to hear what people have to say.

They don’t want any investigations because it will be in the course of the investigations that even more GOP adulthood comes out. It gets harder and harder to keep their supporters (and I’m including soft supporters who claim to be “independent” but vote GOP 75-100% of the time).

Word has it that the Volker deposition isn't going the way Schiff would like.

Evidently, Schiff took over questioning at one point from his counsel which was reported as "unusual" because staff was supposed to lead.

Dems seem nervous.

Whose word? Link? Just posting it here doesn't make it true.

Having seen some of the texts Volker shared as leaked by the republicans, they don't seem to help Trump.

Are we going to get a read-out? How many people are in there and what's the likelihood of a leak? I can imagine no smoking gun, but I can't imagine anything that could potentially derail the proceedings.

Volker gave text messages showing career diplomats knew that Trump was holding the fund for his political gain. So NO!

October 2: Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch
October 3: Ambassador Kurt Volker
October 7: Deputy Assistant Secretary George Kent
October 8: Counselor T. Ulrich Brechbuhl
October 10: Ambassador Gordon Sondland

Volker started talking at 9:30 this morning and is expected to be there a couple more hours, according to Rep. Mark Meadows at 3:30.

Here’s some of what’s going on. I didn’t realize that Volker’s other job was lobbying for Raytheon, which makes Javelin missiles. Swampy!

General discussion. Zeldin just spoke on camera - said that the idea that today's testimony blew a huge hole in the idea that money was withheld and that there was a quid pro quo.
