The ex-U.S. special envoy (Volker) for Ukraine told House investigators that he warned Rudy Giuliani that Giuliani was receiving untrustworthy information from Ukrainian political figures about Biden and his son, two people familiar with his testimony tell Washington Post.
That doesn;t seem to support that it is going badly for "the Dems." |
LOL. No. In newly disclosed text messages shared with Congress, the top U.S. diplomat to Ukraine at the time writes to a group of other American diplomats that "I think it's crazy to withhold security assistance for help with a political campaign.” In the exchange, obtained by ABC News, the concerns are expressed by Bill Taylor, the top U.S. diplomat to Ukraine. Gordon Sondland, the United States Ambassador to the European Union, responds to Taylor, saying, "Bill, I believe you are incorrect about President Trump’s intentions. The President has been crystal clear: no quid pro quo’s of any kind. The President is trying to evaluate whether Ukraine is truly going to adopt the transparency and reforms that President Zelensky promised during his campaign." https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/top-diplomat-ukraine-crazy-withhold-security-sasistance-political/story?id=66039011 |

Yeah, right. |
If you think Sonland, a Trump appointee who is a hotelier himself and a million dollar contributor to the Trump PACs, is a professional and independent voice for the facts on the ground, then I don't know what to say.
The professionals on the ground understand what this was, as do most of the GOP Senators, who are in a tough spot and they know it. |
1. Don't need a "quid pro quo" for impeachment. In any normal time, Trump's speech on the South Lawn this morning would lead to immediate impeachment. 2. Text messages were released showing that a US diplomat called it a "quid pro quo" 3. Money WAS withheld on order of the President - that's an established fact |
Sondland sounds just as dirty as Guiliani and the rest of the lot...
"Sondland has been the U.S. envoy to the European Union since July 2018. He has assisted Giuliani's effort to contact Ukrainian officials about an investigation, according to Giuliani, who says he briefed Sondland and Volker after his meetings." ABC News |
+1 - Slow clap... |
Guess which of those people is a political appointee. Gordon D. Sondland is the founder and chairman of Provenance Hotels. On March 12, 2018, President Donald Trump selected Sondland to be the next United States Ambassador to the European Union. |
Giuliani was warned that Ukrainian claims of Bidens’ misconduct were not credible, Trump’s ex-envoy tells lawmakers
|
So basically, the State Department told Giuliani this was fake stuff and he continued to push it and now we have the president and vice president pushing it on the American public, and 30% have bought it, and it will be used as a pretext to give Ukraine to Russia. |
And putin is the clear winner. Way to go, GOP. |
Will create pretense to pardon Manafort as well. |
