This is the first time I felt someone was lying here. Of course they would be in huge trouble if they served her. Then again there were other people in the bar who would have seen them if they were there together. I guess its plausible that he said he was going to buy her a drink and took her to the bar, then saw they were carding people and he said wait here I'll bring the drink out.

Particularly when witnesses saw them having a drink together, right? I think the bar is trying to cover their butt.

I watched the news conference and what Longo said was that he has at least one witness that puts her in the bar and that they are re-interviewing that group of witnesses in light of this statement.

Or extradition news

yeah, it might be. I'm hoping, hoping, hoping, that in the hours that they have been questioning him, he finally told them where her body is and they have recovered it. It just breaks my heart that she is in all likelihood dead.

You are aware he is not answering any questions. He has an attorney and no attorney would permit his client to answer questions.

And this is quite apart from the obvious assumption you are making that HG is dead and that JM is the killer. I guess you don't believe in a person being innocent until proven guilty.

Not when you find her blood in the trunk of his car.

Has this been reported?

Not that I have seen reported anywhere. I think PP is just making up crap.

What is the evidence for "intent to defile", though? They can't just make that up

"Not releasing evidence publicly" != "making things up"

Regardless if Hannah waited outside the restaurant or was inside with Matthew is must be so heartwrenching for her parents to learn that she was at least for some period of time hanging out with this man willingly (assuming he's responsible for her disappearance). College kids drink. I drank a ridiculous amount and I thank my lucky stars that I was never harmed considering all the questionable positions I put myself into.

However, beyond the expectation that college students drink, it must be heartbreaking to know that she hung out with a stranger like that, maybe even waited for him. Those precious moments when she could have walked away. And even more heartbreaking to think she may have willingly gotten into a car, not only with a stranger, but with one who had been drinking. I'm sure her parents hammered home many times in her life to not get in a car with a stranger and never to get into a car with someone who had been drinking. So much poor judgement...the same poor judgement I had many times in college but somehow I made it out of the period of my life unscathed.

I'm just left so sad about all of this. And if the Liberty University stuff turns out to be true it also seems so sad that this guy's possible past never caught up to him until now.

I'm still perplexed by the creepy white guy's claim that the guy he saw Hannah with was bald with a goatee.

Eyewitness testimony is notoriously inaccurate.

My theory - she was buying drugs from him and od'd.

if he was a drug dealer they would have found drugs in his car or apartment during the first search and would have arrested him for that in order to hold him. So I doubt it.

I read that he took his sister's car. I wonder if he stole it or if she gave it to him. If she gave it to him, I wonder if she'll get caught up in this.

How about a simple story -- a predator picked her up and she paid with her life? How hard is that to believe?

You mean she bought heroin or cocaine or something like that? Ridiculous. There's no indication that she used drugs like that. I've been very drunk in my life but it never caused me to think "Hey, maybe I should go get some heroin."

Besides there's no indication that he was a dealer.

My theory is that he disposed of her body at the hospital where he worked somehow. I wonder if he had any shifts there after Hannah disappeared. Besides a morgue, do hospitals typically have the ability to dispose of cadavers (ie: an oven such as those found at funeral homes)? he likely had electronic key access to get in there.

No, since you don't have access to information that the police is allegedly not releasing you are just speculating on blood in the trunk and that is making up stuff.

Maybe weed? And he had a little to share, not sell. Then she died from something else.

Would there be blood if he strangled her? Does blood come out of the mouth or eyes if someone is strangled?
Anonymous
I'm sure all this will come out in court, if it goes to trial.
