You can’t rely on aggregators like realclear that just use every poll without any filter for quality. The right wing propaganda machine has figured out they can push out BS polls and they will get put into those aggregators.

This is literally the same thing people were saying in October and November when Biden was up by 14 in Iowa in polls and Trump was performing well in Trafalgar polls.

Trump won and proved the polls wrong again. Why should we believe people like you ever again?

But only 44% approve of the approach he is taking, and that was before the LA events.

As has been predicted, he's back down to his MAGA moron brigade. He'll bleed a little bit of that support once FEMA quits coming to the rescue, Medicaid is taken away, etc.

While this may be true, I wouldn’t get too excited yet. Many people voted R only b/c they couldn’t vote D….

This is true for 2024 and was also true in 2020 when those same swing voters voted D because they couldn't bring themselves to vote R. Guess where that pendulum lands in 2028? Those same swing voters will once again reject the sitting POTUS by voting for the opposition party.

There used to be talk of Republicans in Congress abandoning Trump if/when his approval falls into the 30s.

Here we are. (And the Republican Senate is demolishing the Big Beautiful Bill.)
