Congratulations, “moderate Dem” voters! May you reap what you sowed.

Anyone with a brain knew the Rethuglicans would start on this crap the second they took office.
I’m only surprised they didn’t set the barrier at like, 4 minutes post ejaculation. I guess the fascists are starting to learn how to be reasonable? Still doesn’t change the fact that no fetus born at 20 weeks survives. Most of the 22-26 week “miracles” are severely disabled even after millions are spent on their care.

They are doing this at the same time as they are striking down covid mandates in the name of "my body, my choice..."

What a bunch of craven hypocrites.

No, they’re not reasonable, they’re boiling people to death slowly. Because most women haven’t had the scan at which your heart stops beating when the tech gets very, very quiet, so they don’t know. And those same women don’t tell their friends and family that they opted to terminate, they “lost” the pregnancy. Completely their right, but allows the forced birth lies about late term abortions to fester and spread instead of getting the real story from a friend.

I cannot believe how many dumb anti-feminist people fell for the right wing lies and voted for the party that literally tried to overthrow the government less than a year before the vote. JFC.

This law has a carve out for rape incest and health of the mother… that’s all well and good. When do you find out if your fetus has downs? There are too many issues that can develop later in a pregnancy that can’t be addressed with a 20 week ban.
That’s why it should be between a woman and her health care provider.

Come now, the goal is to prevent abortion of kids with Downs. They are hoping you will put the kid up for adoption so they can scoop him up. Nothing says status like a person that can drop $40k on a disabled kid that requires support for life and keep a wife right at home where she belongs to watch over him.

If you don’t want to give up your flesh and blood, well slut, you’re on your own and it’s up to God to help you now. No one’s going to step in with anything like government support.

Polls among Americans do show broad support for restrictions on abortion more than allowed under Roe versus Wade

Google it.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/americans-weigh-in-on-backing-candidates-who-support-certain-abortion-restrictions/

https://news.gallup.com/poll/1576/abortion.aspx

Enough to show that there is a majority for some restriction on abortion.

I am pro choice at ten weeks and pro life at 30 weeks. It seems very appropriate for an elected state legislature to define the point at which abortion is no longer permitted.

No exception for rape or incest. https://lis.virginia.gov/cgi-bin/legp604.exe?221+sum+HB1274

Sorry, not bothering to parse a poll by the Knights of Columbus.

The Gallup poll doesn’t indicate “broad support” for restrictions “more than allowed under Roe v. Wade.”

Ah, you’re one of those ghouls who hates women and knows nothing about pregnancy! Google “late term abortion stories,” read a few and get back to us all.

Every late abortion is a wanted pregnancy. This law is a nightmare.
