Yep looks like everyone hates them.
How Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Are Achieving Princess Diana’s Unfulfilled Dream
https://www.gq.com/story/prince-harry-meghan-markle-princess-diana |
The British especially. |
| Do the British support their half in half out monetized royalty? Who would support that? |
I’ll bet most of them think they are giving up the money. The general public isn’t smart. Look at Brexit and Boris Johnson (and Trump in the US.) |
+1 they are just happy they don’t have to pay for them anymore. |
|
This sounds like the domineering wife who drives a wedge between her husband and his family thus cutting off the man from his roots.
Was she not counseled on what to expect as a royal? Did she not know of her expected duties and what to expect in terms of responsibilities? Is she just jealous because she is playing second fiddle to Kate? |
Told you - She (the Queen) ordered the Prince of Wales and Duke of Cambridge to find “immediate solutions” to the crisis as she fought for the survival of the monarchy at all costs. Still reeling from the scandal over Prince Andrew’s friendship with paedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, palace sources say the family is at a “huge crisis point in their recent history”. Charles and William told their teams this afternoon to “drop everything” and arrange meetings with No10, the Home Office and their US and Canadian counterparts to come up with proposals for a solution in “days, not weeks”. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/queen-fights-save-monarchy-royal-21250128 All they had to do was stick up for the biracial royal and newest wife of the royal family. |
The Mirror? Really? |
I daresay most are fine with the Sussexes going off to the sunset. The question doesn't ask whether the government should continue to fund their lifestyle. That is the big issue. Based on the British press reaction, that's what people care about. |
| I want to know more about “hobbies”. |
That is a question I'd ask the entire Royal family. Why is the Royal Rota (their version of the White House Press Corps) composed of 7 news media - 4 of which are tabloids. The Mirror happens to be one of those. If its good enough for the Queen, I guess its good enough for the common folk. |
|
I'm reading the Queen is refusing to meet with Harry. https://www.cosmopolitan.com/entertainment/celebs/a30457938/prince-harry-meeting-queen-blocked-courtiers/
So she will do a public ride with Prince Andrew the day after that interview where he claims he couldn't have raped a girl because he ate pizza and doesn't sweat cuz he's a war hero. But won't meet with Harry? H&M seem to have made the right call. That family is nuts. |
Agreed the response would be very different if the question were: "Do you support (blah blah blah) while still receiving taxpayer money (or retaining royal titles)" |
That's one way to look at it. When H&M walk away, then they will have made the right call. They haven't done that. Yet. |
| As an American, I would like them stop using off their titles. Not because they don't deserve them but because they are too good for them. The BRF is the very embodiment of inequality and racism. |
