Based on what? Another "circulating" story?

His web page at the real estate firm where he works, and a search of the Maryland Bar. Everyone keeps saying he's a high powered lawyer, but it doesn't seem to be the case. He did practice law before, but it doesn't look like his license is active, for whatever reason.

It will be up to the prosecutor and perhaps a jury.

Who are you saying was the designated driver? Ellis? You're talking again like a real shyster. Is that helpful?

Ellis went home with a designated driver. He was not the designated driver. He then returned of his own volition. I'm not speculating, just listening to what the kids are saying. I'm not a shyster, but I do believe you are blending at least a few different posters in this discussion.

Who cares if he changed his webpage. Most people would.

You seem to be trying start rumors here. And like you said, trying to create different ideas about what happened. Anything to add to what "the kids" are telling you? Perhaps you should take your rumors to Captain Didone first thing tomorrow morning. Have you done that yet??

At least follow along. Here's the short:
1. He's a high powered lawyer.
2. No, looks like he's not.
3. How do you know, you liar? You're a liar like the other pp who's lying.
4. From his website.
5. So what, what do you know, what's your point? Anyone would change their website. You're all liars. I'm the owner of this thread and only my opinions count!!!!

? It is a helpful explanation/opinion of some possible outcomes. What is your problem?

The only one who seems to be "circulating" your little story, is...
Are you ready?.....Is YOU! I see how you'd be the life of any party!

Ok. Got it now. You're the bully pretend owner of this thread and only you can comment and it'syour job to shut down any other poster.

Please focus on the facts here, Mr. Attorney. Exactly who else is circulating your little story?

Only a lawyer would be spewing about a "legal precedent" here. That's you, Sir.

The Washington post article states he left the party with 3 other kids in search of another party. The only people talking DD are the ones scared of lawsuits.

It will be interesting if the facts bear out the designated driver theory or if it's just a rumor. It would certainly be an important fact if proven. We shall see.

Here's the dumb ass lawyer, talking to himself there.
Perhaps a mental health evaluation is in order.
Or he's just getting desperate and will say anything here he thinks might save his sorry ass.

Hey Thread Mom:
Can lawyers only be men? Do you rely on the Washington Post for all your criminal investigations?

You seem to be new to this site, or have you not read the entire 61 pages of this thread? Anonymous posters speculate about every. single. news story they care about. Hence, the wild success of DCUM.

Since you're saying you're close to the referenced individuals on this thread, I take it that means the driver and/or the party host parents. You don't need to say if you think anyone who breaks the law should have any consequences. But perhaps if there were small consequences for small offenses, there wouldn't be these two dead boys today.

Do you seriously think this was the first time breaking the law for any of these people?

I know for a fact it is not.

This is what should be so sad. Why didn't anyone curb the criminal activity sooner than now?

"Some parents see a drinking party as facilitating their son’s or daughter’s popularity—a tap-the-kegs-and-they-will-come philosophy. “We handled a Bethesda party in January where both parents were present,” White says. “They said they were having the party because their child has social issues.” "

This is an article well-worth reading. Thank you. It illustrates how common it is for parents to allow underaged alcohol drinking in their homes. And not just their own kids, but yours too.

To learn the law, everyone needs to read the Bethesda Magazine article. Kudos to them for this superb piece of journalism.
