There's legal precedent that allows the hosting parents to plead out. Presumably the facts in this case may warrant jail time. If, however, the teens left the house with a designated driver, as has been circulating, my guess is that the host does not go to jail. Being a friend or not of the judge doesn't matter. It will be up to the prosecutor and perhaps a jury.
