Why do some men get married early?

Anonymous
I see some successful, handsome, charismatic guys getting hitched mid-late 20's. Why do this when you can easily wait another 10 years while living the fun single life and will probably be even more attractive to women by your mid-late 30's?

Maybe they’re in love and believe they’ve found the one?

I was a successful, charismatic, handsome 25 yr old woman whose same-aged partner wanted to put a ring on it before someone else did.

I think DH would tell you that it's because he loved me a lot?

I will note that he was much more successful in school (yes he was still in school) after he got married because the fun single life is time-consuming.

Plus we had kids early so he will be an empty-nester when he is 48.

There are positives and negatives to all choices.

So glad I didn’t do this! You end up with a woman with a great body but from a different generation. My friends are driven nuts with their younger wives and their obsession with social media/phones. That’s why I didn’t do it. I frankly love my wife and the women of our generation.

Because they met partners they wanted to be with more than they wanted what you’re describing. It’s kind of sad that you can’t imagine that.

+1

I was 26 and husband was 24 when we met. He never wanted to marry until 30. Realized he was never going to do better. We are 50 now. Two handsome teenagers and wealthy as f@ck. Sex is still hot as hell.

Because I loved my wife and I knew I wanted to spend my life with her. No need to spend 10 years figuring that out. 20 years later and no regrets

Because men crave the presence of women in their lives. And most men age badly and look like crap by mid 30s so it's a way of locking down a cute girl early. Also, sperm ages rapidly so they may want to have a high quality baby

Because their parents got married young and their parents put prssure to marry the girl they are with at 24. This happened to my DH for his 1st marriage, also the parents disapproved of their living together so the engagement/wedding became "inevitable" and the marriage was 5 years long.

In my experience religious or religious and gay.

No. My bitter divorced MIL told her sons NEVER to marry before 35. I met my husband when he was 24. He fell hard and fast and we are still very happy 25 years later. Sex multiple times per week.
