That’s probably because they have gotten flooded with EA apps since no additional essays. Those numbers will be up for sure.

But these are only ED numbers so interesting that they left more offers for the EA and RD rounds this year. Agree with the other poster that it must mean quality was down slightly.

.

It doesn’t have to mean that. They may already know that they got way more EA apps this year and EA is usually stronger applicant pool so they held back on some ED offers, even though quality was the same.

I know he knows the answer but am too nervous to ask him. He will probably tell is together .

Seem like a deferred or reject otherwise would tell me I guess.

You can’t just ask?

I did - he sai will check Monday. Its likely a reject.

He must have done really well on the marshmallow test.

I suspect because on Monday GMU also sends out their decision. He applied there too.

Deferred. Governor’s School in Richmond. 4.3 w / 1460 SAT submitted. 8 APs / 3 DEs. Usual ECs - 4 year varsity athlete w/ 3 state titles, 180 hours of continuous volunteering, part time job since Freshman year, etc. Not surprised, but still bummed. Any chance in RD?

Instate. Public HS.
1510, 4.58 weighted, top 5%
Captain of sport
9 APs and 2 DEs

Same except 4.05 weighted, 1530 SAT, and part of magnet school as well, Varsity captain, will see Monday. His gpa is too low for UVA

Rejected as expected, sadly. 4.25 gpa. TO. Interesting ECs.

I’m sorry. I’ll cross some fingers for you. Do you know how many others from MW similarly applied ED?

That’s an incredibly difficult school and those are outstanding credentials. Hard to understand what UVA was (not) thinking.

We had similar stats and got deferred. DS is moving on and looking for an ED2 school.

The Fairfax county parents seem to think that a 4.4 weighted is a soft cutoff.
