I lost 60 pounds in 5 months without using GLP-1.

700 calories is an eating disorder. Full stop.

I do not understand the tolerance and promotion of eating disorders on this board.

I really hope this is a troll and not a real person.

I don't have a meal plan. I skip all the meals and I only do binges. I tried to fight binges for 40 years and now I just leaned into them. I binge on eggs and egg whites, lean ham, prosciutto, tomatoes, various fruits and berries, meat, fish, sometimes cheese in some form. I get a tall latte from Starbucks frequently. I will also eat bites of various foods that family is eating etc.

As I wrote previously, I know it feels like you would be hungry all the time but I was hungrier when I was doing (or trying to do) 1400/day) than on 700. it's kind of, when you start eating really little, food just kind of fades out as an interest. I don't think about it as much. whereas at 1400 I was thinking about it all the time.

The other thing is, I think my stomach has become much smaller and I feel full with small amounts of food. So when I binge I binge only a fraction of food that I would have binged previously. I could not stop, it was never enough. now, if I binge say 400 calories of food, I feel like I am going to to explode and I don't eat for many hours after that. I am truly full and I am not even considering another binge (while previously I would be binging every 2 hours or so). The other day I was traveling and I had a regular restaurant meal of my once favorite food that I haven't eaten in a long time and I ate all of it. I was so full I didn't eat for 24 hours after that.

Why do you call eating 400 calories of food a binge? That’s just a meal. I’m worried about you, op, you have very distorted ideas of food and health.

Also, if you’re not hungry for 24 hours after one big meal—you may be constipated. Do you poop regularly?

for me a meal implies a plan of what you are going to eat, putting things on a plate, sitting at the table. binging is when you go to a kitchen without a clear plan (maybe just first item), they you start sampling all kind of food randomly with no clear end point. almost all eating is done standing.

Disagree. Rapid weight loss like OP’s increases the risk of gall stones and pancreatitis. Not healthy at all!

It’s all relative.

Obesity is not healthy and carries huge health risks. When you compare the risks of rapid weight loss with the risks associated with obesity, weight loss is exponentially healthier.

Were you on crutches?

6 miles is less than an hour of jogging at an easy pace.

Walking 6 miles shouldn’t take more than 2 hours, maybe 2.5 hours if you’re walking really slow.

Thank you, OP, for this. I just tried ChatGPT for calories. I never thought to do so before. I used one of those cumbersome apps.
During the summer of 202, during covid, I walked a ton, it was great, around 18K steps per day, I could eat whatever and gain nothing. Now I live in a super-hot climate, I am prone to skin cancer, have had a few spots already removed, and can't walk outside. I do exercise, but there is no way I can fit 30k steps in my day, otherwise that would be the best exercise ever.

Thing about a GLP is it helps you eat normally.

OP’s 700 daily calories and 30k steps isn’t normal. Or sustainable.

I disagree with this...it's disordered eating IMO.

OP here - I walked a ton around the home while listening to music and talking on the phone (business and personal). I WFH so that makes it easier. My walking actually began because I had insomnia and was listening to music for hours during night while walking around the home. It didn’t even occurto me to look at the steps for like two weeks or so, then I looked at it and realized I was logging around 15k every night so then I started paying attention to it and building it up… i was almost two months into it when 30k steps crystallized as a goal in my mind though I already had many 30k+ days by then.

I don’t believe OP walked 30k per day.

Anybody can say anything on here without vetting

OP here. I am not recommending this to anyone, but as for myself, I am far from frail, I feel and look great, my labs are fantastic and I am looking forward to my walks every day. I am no more completely invisible and I just fit comfortably into my size 28 jeans that I haven't worn in 15 years. I can suddenly climb many stairs and steep hills easily where I used to struggle with a floor or two.

I experienced exactly zero pain over the past 5 months. I was always good at walking, could walk long distances where people who were much more fit would complain - I just wasn't doing it enough and consistently. When I reach my goal weight I plan to maintain at least 20k steps, though to be honest, on days when I only do that much (e.g. travel etc), I feel like I want to walk more.

You are not walking "30,000" steps a day.

Absolutely possible!! I do it all the time. Walk with intention in the morning.. desk job during the day but up for walk breaks occasionally... evening walk after dinner. At least 30k steps a day. And no it did not take me 4 hours.

OP here. how long have you been doing it? so many people think it's impossible but actually have nurmous 40k days and some 50k... that's when I really have some free time.

I would get the shakes if I did that.

But I've lost quite a bit with keto friendly dieting (non processed meats and lots of vegetables only).

is it possible to upload photos? I would love do show you a few screenshots. today I walked 26k and barely noticed. I also walked 20 minutes on 18% incline and had an hour of strength training with my trainer. I understand your disbelief, sometimes I can't believe this happened to me, either, but yeah, I was over 200 lbs less than 8 months ago.

Anything is possible when you lie. To get 30k steps you would literally be walking the entire day-like without stopping. I have gotten to around 20k before but that was Disney or days when I had been walking around for whatever reason for 4+ hours. Who has 6+ hours in a day to walk on a regular basis?
