So your spouse cooks nightly for the kids, or you just don't eat as a family (?)

I lost 23 lbs in a year on 1100 calories a day. Strict. That's how long it took, post menopause, no thyroid, and on a beta blocker.

Walking 3 miles a day, weight training 3x a week. Now here I am about a year later, and if I go over 1,000 calories any day, the weight just comes back. I've gained 5 lbs back and now trying to get back to where I was and hopefully about 5 lbs more to go. It's not going to happen. I really am not going lower than 1100 calories, so it is what it is.

we do a lot of takeouts/restaurants

OP here. I hear you, it's hard to maintain. if I didn't walk I would already be several pounds up.
