Only because of the kids. He was mentally “out” after a few years just as he’s been with everyone else. Once she was “mom” and not “hot Elektra,” he seemed to bore quickly. He’s very immature. |
| I've said this before: if I were in the celebrity stratosphere he would be one of the dudes I avoided. So. many. red. flags! |
I don't think so. JG seems more flexible and loving. There is much more of a companionship between them, which is why they have a strong relationship even today. This might not be enough to sustain marriage, but it is still important and almost certainly played a role in how long he stayed with JG. He likes her more as a friend, and not just because of the kids. In contrast, he will never speak to JLo again. |

No prenup because they were in love and had an understanding.
All the meetings over the last few months were likely aimed at separating their finances: the house they built and settling any business themselves. They obviously opted not to lawyer up or make this any more of a spectacle. They are just walking away. And on some level, I bet Lopez is hoping that acting rational right now (in terms of keeping it quiet and not fighting) will help get him back…eventually. Ben clearly was the one who bailed. FTR, I am not a fan of any of these people. But I’d love to see Ben and Garner reunite. I’ve seen it happen IRL with another couple (alcoholic dad blew up his happy home, shacked up with a younger woman for years, etc. but eventually cleaned up and proved himself to his ex-wife and young adult kids). |
| Everyone here is bagging on Ben. She seems like a complete narcissist. I’m sure he’s no prize, but is probably at least living on this planet. I hope he goes back to banging Playboy bunnies and playing poker in Vegas. Life’s too short. Ya know? Why shack up with an annoying diva who is probably insane behind closed doors. |
| I really enjoyed the dunkin commercials |
Agree with this. So he couldn't deal with her. From what I could see, totally understandable! |

"Lopez was in a nearly decade-long relationship with David Cruz, her high-school boyfriend, until the mid-1990s.[251] They were engaged at one point, and Cruz relocated to Los Angeles to be with her when she began pursuing her career.[252] She later said of Cruz, "You get lucky, you have a first love like that."[253]" ~ Wikipedia
May be he was her true love byt obviously she pucked her career over him and never found true love again. |
| I doubt not having a prenup would be an issue. Neither of them want bad publicity. |
Oh lord, I hope not. She deserves better. |
she could have stayed with him and have a normal life but that wouldn't look glamorous enough from the outside. her #1 priority is to incite envy of other (very shallow) women. and now everyone pities her. |
| Ben doesn't seem like a guy who would go after her money. Nor would she want any. They have no lawyers, probably a quick annulment or a decoupling by a court appointed mediator. |
|
Surprised that they didn't have a prenup, but, they both have plenty of $, maybe there is enough trust there that they can divorce using a mediator.
I never understood the rush to marry. Why not just live together. Be a couple. |
it just doesn't have the same weight. marriage is like saying "i want to keep you forever" but to everyone. |
Throwing dream weddings works great for publicity, gives one extra height as a celebrity and brings projects and money. Hollywood sells myth of love between celebrities who go through partners and breakups like paper napkins. |
