Also you are wrong on Penn:
NYU GALLATIN SCH OF INDIVIDUALIZED STUDY NYU LEONARD N STERN SCH OF BUSINESS NYU SCHOOL OF CONT EDUC & PROF STUDIES NYU SILVER SCHOOL OF SOCIAL WORK NYU STEINHARDT SCH OF EDUCATION NYU TISCH SCHOOL OF THE ARTS |
So what's the purpose of subdividing New York colleges. Is New York becoming a new state? |
Barnard at one point was asked to become part of their ivy affiliates. So did Radcliffe. So did Vassar. Radcliffe became Harvard after they offered all their female students to the male-only Harvard. Barnard and Vassar said screw ivies and remained independent. |
Yes. Barnard should be proud of being independent, and not to be lumped together with Columbia. |
Same with Vassar. It's still its own. Radcliffe on the other hand sold it's soul - trafficked every one of their daughters down the river - to become Harvard. |
Just letting some confused people know about common sense. You sound so concerned. Barnard is not special at all in that sense, like Wellesley and any other women's LAC. Adding Columbia to Barnard sounds more confusing and requires more explanation. |

Ask this question.
Did you even apply to Columbia? If yes, did you get in? |
No, seriously. |
Your implied point is such a logical fallacy, there’s actually a name for it. Appeal to purity. |
That's a good way to put it! |
| Columbia is for tools that didn’t get into Princeton. |
Nah. https://www.parchment.com/c/college/tools/college-cross-admit-comparison.php?compare=Columbia+University+in+the+City+of+New+York&with=Princeton+University |
You are definitely so crazy. |
Princeton is more for nerds who never kissed a girl. |
| Barnard is sort of the same as Columbia. |
