1) the shopkeeper
2) the salesgirl
3)various media outlets
4) heffas on blogs and message boards like DCUM

I saw a clip of her meeting a girl who had won some kind of contest to be an assistant to Oprah Winfrey for a day. Oprah didn't seem nice at all even to this young girl.

People stereotype all the time and certainly, stereotyping based on skin color is nothing new. There is absolutely no reason for someone of Oprah's stature to lie about something like this, something that happens all the time!!

Sigh, I must be getting old when I'm no longer hip to today's vernacular. However, I will remember this if I ever see nipples showing through my friends clothing. They'll either think I'm hip for knowing the expression or tell me to get a life.

Oprah was pissed that she wasn't recognized. She is used to celebrity treatment. I am sure the shop keeper would steer me towards cheaper bags as well. It is not racist it is classist, folks. She did not look like she had the money. I recently went into Jimmy Choo's in Chevy Chase and the staff ignored. I own several pairs of Choo shoes. This is just a case a low SES thinking a high SES person looks a certain way.
