We live in a fairly liberal nova town. Are putting house on market next week. Our next door neighbors, who we don't know well, just put up a Trump sign-only one in the neighborhood. We are afraid this will scare off potential buyers. Do we ask neighbors to take sign down? |
I don't think you can do that, but hopefully any potential buyers will driver around the neighborhood enough to see that that neighbor is an anomaly. |
OMG. FFS - No. I'm as progressive, pro-HRC, pro-Dem as they come. But just no. |
I loathe Trump, but you are extremely rude. |
Sucks to be such a sensitive liberal douchebag. |
It would scare me off for sure. Who wants to live next to a neo-nazi? If I were you, I'd wait until Nov 9 to put up the for sale sign. |
Nope. Free speech.
Hang in there. The elections almost over. |
If i was black, Hispanic or Muslim it would deter me for sure. As a white liberal, I would just think they were idiots and we won't be friends. |
Yep, it will discourage buyers. HA HA. |
It actually would put me off, sorry to say. |
Logistically, why not wait till after the election?
Having said that, free speech and freedom of expression are what keeps America great. I don't support Trump and loathe his values but I think asking a neighbor to take down the sign is offensive. |
This. I am a minority and this would really deter me. |
Please do OP. But be sure to film as you make this request as many of us are bored and would love to watch that conversation go down. |
This is silly. There are 16 days left until the election. If there are Hillary signs in yards and bumper stickers on cars throughout your (obviously liberal) neighborhood then one little Trump sign won't matter much to HRC supporters and it might be enough to make a Trump supporter feel a bit more comfortable about considering the property.
I think that sign opens up the market up to more potential buyers which is a good thing! |
So you're going to ask your neighbor to censor himself so that you can sell your house? Could you be more selfish or entitled? |
