Test results came back positive

1-3% false positives means that there are going to be some guys with girlfriends and wives who test positive but didn't have the sexually transmitted disease. Obviously, 97-99% of the time, the test came back positive because she really was infected, but OP might be in the 1-3% and her husband could be telling the truth.

Think of it this way. If 1000 different married women wrote in to DCUM with this story, and all of them kicked out their husbands for their obvious cheating, 10-30 of them would have kicked out a guy who didn't actuall infect them.

Lots of HPV strains are just in the environment, and not necessarily spread via sexual contact. Geez. Can't live in a bubble.

Wut?

OP, I'm thinking of you. I've been through the kind of gaslighting your DH is doing now. It's torture. I wish you peace and certainty. You deserve both.

It was not HPV or Herpes or anything that lies dormant. Can we drop those sidethreads? DH was cheating and now he's lying.
