whenever I see a name spelled stupidly on a resume, I immediately know there is no chance I would ever hire them. apple doesnt fall far from the tree.

Well at least your stinky attitude will spare all those people having to work for bitchiest woman ever.

These names have ridiculous spellings - it's hard to argue with that.

Why does having a chuckle over some crazy name spellings mean that the OP is "nasty," has "too much time on her hands," should instead be spending her time "helping others," etc.?

Is this the first time you've heard someone criticize unconventional baby names or spellings? Sheesh, she was just sharing something she found funny and/or odd. If you can't even laugh about somebody spelling Jacob as Jeighcob, you're really taking "don't judge people" to the extreme. I think some of you really need to lighten up!

What makes you think you're any better than this poor woman?

Actually, I just finished reading a letter from the impoverished child I sponsor in Peru and arranging for her Christmas gifts - does that count?

Anyway, thank a bunch for your thoughts on how I should spend my time! Have a great night!

If you still have time to be so nasty means you still have a lot of time on your hands.
Don't waste it.
You're welcome.

Don't you have to go look for your bouquet? Nitwit.

I used to be a recruiter for a big, call-center based, telecom company and I saw some amazing names cross my desk (never prevented me from hiring anyone, though)
My favorites? "Nu-Unique" and "Latrina"

In my home country I saw a lot of women called Madeinusa (Made in USA, migh-day-NOO-za) and a lot of men called Waltdisney (Val-dis-NAY). Classy.

I encountered on babycenter.com, back when I was pregnant, a woman who really liked the name Nevaeh (heaven spelled backwards), but her husband said it was too trendy and common right now. Since she liked the idea of "heaven" but wanted her child to have a unique twist on it, she decided on Hevvin. Insult to injury, I think she was going for a mikayleigh/ mckenzeigh style middle name.

I have a friend, who will likely never have children, has expressed fondness for Maison (pronounced mason) as a girl's name.

When I was on babycenter there was a woman in our group who named her daughter Lyric. Not a very cool name for a deaf child.

why do african americans often choose those names? certainly they can do whatever they want, but do they think they are doing their kids a service? curious, not a flame.

How about "Shithead" pronounced..."Shi - Theed" I heard about this one years ago from a friend's mom who had to call out this patient's name in a hospital. Another one..."Female" pronounced..."Fe - mal - ee" Oh boy!

They don't any more than any other group. This is much more of a class issue than a race issue. If I were you I would let go of the generalizations and stereotypes. They're only hurtful to the many people that do not fit them, but people like you ascribe to them, based on their skin color.

Toshiba-and no I'm not lying, and she wasn't Japanese.
