stupidest name spellings ever

Anonymous
Ok, I am on some other forum where a lot of people include their kids names & ages in their signatures. I just read a post from a woman who's children have the following names:

Teighlor
Kayleigh
Breighdyn
Jeighcob

Alright, Kayleigh is normal, but Teighlor?? Jeighcob -- WTF?! Jacob is a nice name, but that spelling makes it look so ugly! I guess she has a thing for letters "eigh" or something?

AND she's pregnant - I should congratulate her on her new babeigh!!

This has to be one of the stupidest things I've ever seen.

sorry, I meant "whose" children, not "who's" - typing too fast in my haste to criticize someone!

I think you would enjoy the book "Freakonomics" that discusses class issues and differences that would make people want to customize spellings.

Wow.

That is horrible.

Bets on how long it takes the kids to change the spellings of their name when they're old enough to do it?

I think you should spend your precious time helping someone in need instead of call virtual people stupid in an anonymous forum.
What makes you think you're any better than this poor woman?

As an aunt to an Adeleigh, I had to laugh at your "new babeigh" comment!

Actually, I just finished reading a letter from the impoverished child I sponsor in Peru and arranging for her Christmas gifts - does that count?

Anyway, thank a bunch for your thoughts on how I should spend my time! Have a great night!

If you still have time to be so nasty means you still have a lot of time on your hands.
Don't waste it.
You're welcome.

the names are spelled stupidly, who can disagree with that?

whenever I see a name spelled stupidly on a resume, I immediately know there is no chance I would ever hire them. apple doesnt fall far from the tree.

My former roommate in WI worked with this woman for a short time.

I cannot even think about this topic without remembering the seizures of laughter brought on by http://www.notwithoutmyhandbag.com/babynames/index.html. Ridiculous actual messages like the one OP referenced, from real baby name boards, with witty responses. Please check it out.

THANK YOU for posting that link. I had once known that site and laughed so hard I peed my pants. but then I lost the link ....

To those who haven't seen it, and assuming you'd be interested because you're reading this particular thread, go there!! It is hysterical.

You're ridiculous! What if the person with the ridiculous name was adopted? What if the name has a special meaning in another culture? I wish I had a ridiculous name so it would keep me away from people like you!

Well I think it's great you spared them from working for someone like you. Do you do the same for names you can't pronounce because they're not American? Discriminating against people because their parents gave them a name you think is spelled stupidly is just wrong.
