There is no reason to have her in the exam room and she knows if she has observations or concerns she wishes me to share with the Dr, she tells me directly and in detail.

How long have you had her, and for how many hours a week?

Five years. Her schedule has varied over the years. Why do you think that's pertinent?

You're an ass, op.

My Boss usually takes the baby to the doctor then I pick him up, while she drives to work. Once I was early and she came out and said: "Why don't you come in? Feels weird to have you wait out here! You're welcome to sit with us"

My family is normal and I've been with them for 8 years.

Normal healthy families are such a pleasant surprise.

Please pay attention, OP, this is now healthy normal mothers act. Not "we don't need you to come in with us"

Yes, it is disrespectful especially the way that you said it, OP. I would not be the least bit surprised if your nanny spent the weekend looking at care.com ads.

I'm not the OP, so your insult makes no sense. If you want to pick a fight, you'll have to try harder.

I've either gone back with the child and parent, or once I sat in the car holding a new baby while an older child went in with mom. The thing about pediatrician waiting rooms is - no one wants to be there unless they have to. Who wants to sit out in what is essentially a petri dish of bacteria if they don't have to? Because you need your nanny to carry your child? Either do it yourself and give your nanny a break or have your nanny complete the entire visit with you. Come on, OP.

Well said.
