Bottom line:
It is a personal choice.
Some people do not mind, while others may be bothered by it.
To each his own obviously.

Just like abortion, gay marriage & Trump....
There will always be a division of opinion on the matter.

I just happen to find them off-putting + creepy.

I must agree. Parent insecurity is an issue.

So? It is their house and a nanny is their at will employee. Does it really matter why?

Find yourself someone who likes to be watched all day by God knows who. Period.

Me. I am a nanny and I never give a second thought to the cameras. I am not paranoid.

Just because you do not like being watched all day does not mean that you are paranoid or have something to hide.

This is flawed logic at its best.

Some people just are not comfortable being watched by other people, especially their bosses when at work.

They just may feel ill at ease w/attention on them.

People generally work with other people watching, PP. You are truly paranoid if you think anyone spend their entire day watching you be a nanny. L

Yet no one really knows just how much or how little a parent uses the camera in a day.

It’s based solely on trust, trust the Nanny is automatically supposed to feel for her employers, that they do not have audio or video in the bathroom, etc.

Yet on the other end, the Nanny is untrustworthy by the parents until time and the cameras can prove her integrity.

W-R-O-N-G.........

Oh, calm down, Drama Deb. I have cameras to see my baby occasionally when I am at work. Our nanny knows about them and approves.

I seriously think you nannies with issues about being "watched" have other things to hide.

Here is the truth: Nannies who oppose cameras in their place of employment don't want their employers to see them on their phones constantly. Period. End of ridiculous thread.

I am a nanny. I know lots of other nannies. And this is the ONLY reason they don't like cameras. Don't be fooled by the nonsense-excuses on this thread, Parents.

Ok, 18:22, you are welcome to speak for yourself. Thank you.

I would be ok with a camera, but definitely not audio. That would be a deal breaker.

Would you be ok identified on YouTube doing something (inadvertently) embarrassing?

Has that ever happened to a nanny? No. However it could happen while you were walking down the street, in a restaurant, in your car (shot from outside), in the grocery store, etc.
