You have to accept that a lot of people feel uneasy with that and let’s face it, it’s not an easy thing to digest. The issue is if you knew they were religious (hopefully not your assumption) why did you take the job?? There’s more of the story here. At the end, you have to work wherever you feel is a fit for you; this family wasn’t and you have to move on. No discrimination whatsoever here.
I used to work as FA for a lesbian couple that were ‘religious’ Worst family I ever had!! They were so disrespectful to each other and there was verbally abused going on. One was overly sensitive and couldn’t take no as answer. Ever since I choose not to work for same sex couples, that doesn’t mean I don’t like them I just simply don’t feel comfortable working with them. I moved on and i glad I did it. Best of luck and don’t make assumptions. |
Next time simply say, "I keep my personal life private at work.". End of story. |
