Which duties are you talking about? Doing somersaults on the backyard trampoline?

The past winter snow for example you can't expect her to run behind toddler at backyard or park what if she sliped and fell. Huge safety and liability concern all around. However this likely won't be issue working with very young babies or school age children. Depends on the the specifics of job and situation.

Most of us are avoiding 'ice-rinks' these days, pregnant or not.
Your argument is stupid.

Looks like you have never watched an active toddler. Nobody is deliberately going into "ice rink". Just snow and ice and shit happens.

Been actively working with little ones forever. A little common sense goes a long way, as I've never had a spill in the snow.

Bingo.

I wonder how these MB's would feel if their bosses fired them for being pregnant?

Why are equal rights only for office workers, but not domestic workers?

It's a class divide, admit it already.

Exactly.

Bull crap. There are laws protecting pregnant women and not firing them. Stop your lying and fake sympathy.

Hope everything worked out for you + your hubby in the end.

By now your baby must be about three....??

Agreed. Keep good records of what you are paid, and file for unemployment. The onus is on them to do this right.

You're full of it because it is illegal to fire for pregnancy, unless you were a nanny.

Are you really that stupid? You think just because something is illegal means no one does it? I am a physician and I was fired shortly after I told them I was pregnant. I know that's why they fired me but it's not like they said "we are firing you because you are pregnant."

People really are this stupid.

Are you aware that sometimes people and employers and corporations break the law? Do you seriously not get that women get fired for being pregnant without the person/company firing them actually stating that?

here is another "people really are this stupid" candidate.

Our resident troll is bumping up ancient threads again just to start up fights between nannies and MBs.

Our resident fool wants to pretend this issue is no longer a problem for nannies.

So what. Too much drama to have a moody pregnant nanny going to doctors all the time and attempting to provide reliable chIldcare and then quit 9 mos later. Oh, or is some long maternity leave supposed to be paid for and then your newborn hosted at their house?
