The difference is a nanny works full-time. A sitter works part-time. |
Umm...actually no. Your ignorance is showing. |
No, its not. Most nanny's do not have college or masters degrees in child development nor do baby sitters. They do the same exact job - care for kids. |
You again?? Show us ONE credible source that outlines an actual definition of nanny vs. sitter...just one that isn't your subjective opinion! |
And it’s still showing. You said the difference was one was full time and one was part time (nannies can be part time or full time you fool). Now you are deciding that neither are educated. Keep digging that hole of ignorance. |
You really need to find new employment. Yes, that is the difference. Most people who are professionals have degrees in the field they work in. |
You really need to expand your bubble. Your assumptions are incorrect and ignorant. The more you say the more foolish you appear. |
Do you have a masters degree in child development or similar degree? That is when you can say professional. A high school diploma and work experience is very different. So, what is the true difference? Nanny is full time child care provider and babysitter is sporadic or part-time. |
I personally have a bachelors degree and experience working in both Elementary and High School. I am a professional in my field bc this is my paid occupation rather than a pastime. I am also competent and skilled in this profession. However, your original argument wasn’t what made someone a professional. You argued, and are still trying to argue the difference between a nanny and a sitter. Explain why you think nannies can’t be part time? And then explain why you think nannies and sitters are uneducated. Idk what world you live in but you don’t need a masters or bachelors to say you are professional as that is not the definition of professional. If that is your case pls go explain that to Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerburg, Steve Jobs, etc. A nanny is a skilled professional with experience who provides care within your home. A sitter is someone who provides care without much experience. I would agree that their care is usually sporadic however, many ppl use that for full time care as they are cheaper bc their experience is more limited than a nanny. |
So you think the difference between nanny and sitter is... the price? lol |
Well said. |
I don't know anyone who acts the way OP describes.
I "hate" trolls who resurrect pointless debates. |
So to be clear, since you don’t know anyone who acts the way OP has described, OP is a troll and lying? |
Not well said as sitters can have the experience and just doing it as a side job or for extra money. That is not the difference. |
Then they wouldn’t be a sitter. They would still be considered a nanny (refer to the bolded). Reading and understanding is key. |
