| Maybe they are both hoping you’ll strip. |
Or praying that you won’t. Stinky nannies aren’t exactly a turn-on. |
Huh? |

OP Here:
Yikes! After posting this, I was actually kind of afraid to come back on here to read all the responses. First, I had to sew on my leather skin. :O No, I am not a troll. As for the teacher comparison, in all fairness teachers usually do not have to push a stroller up hills in triple-digit temperatures + stand in the sun and push a young child on the swing or go down the slide w/them. (Not complaining or trying to elicit any pity here - Just trying to explain the difference here.) And since the A/C is typically set at 78 degrees, it still feels a little warm when I come home so I turn it down to 76 for about fifteen minutes. The parents say anything not below 76 is okay. And thanks to the PP who responded that turning on the fan while running the A/C is a waste of electricity. I always thought fans were like a few cents an hour to run. Anyway, my charge is fine while I cool off. She usually occupies herself immediately w/a book or toy. |
Wow. You need a different position: you are never outside with the child while it’s hot, there are no camera, there’s no db, etc. |
| Why can’t you bring a cooling towel and extra shirts and just wash up and change when you get back from the park? |
Find a more appropriate way to cool off. Do you actually think that lifting your shirt in front of cameras is a good, professional choice? |
I do all of the above and manage to cool off while still standing on my feet and remaining clothed - and engaging my charges to help them cool off as well. You are nuts, OP. |
|
1. turn the thermostat down to 76 before you leave during the day so when you come back it's nice and cool.
2. buy something like this and go into the bathroom to wipe your sweat off: https://www.amazon.com/Yes-Coconut-Hydrate-Restore-Cleansing/dp/B079NH4LKB/ref=sr_1_16_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1532284476&sr=8-16&keywords=body+wipes+for+women 3. bring a fresh t-shirt with you to work each day and after wiping down, put on the clean shirt. 4. Bring a plastic bag to toss your sweaty shirt into- and toss it into the dirty laundry when you get home to your house. |
|
Your little charges are hot and sweaty too! I take my charges into the bathroom with me and we all cool down with cold wasclothes and fresh dry shirts. A cold wash cloth to the back of the neck feels great for everyone. I always have a couple of clean shirts for myself in my nanny bag.
I would never do what you are doing, OP!! And I can guarantee you my double stroller push home is a steeper hill than where you are! |

There are cameras in the home. Therefore you don't expose yourself.
Problem solved. You can change into a tank top briefly when you get home if you want, or whatever solution works, but stop exposing yourself. |
Nanny here. You are very much in the wrong. I don’t care for your excuses and comparison to teachers. You’re not a teacher, and I doubt any professional would ever act like this. I think it’s highly unprofessional you would do this at work, cameras or not. How about cooking yourself off with a washcloth and a change of clothes? You can bring a new top to work. My employers let me keep extra clothes to work for reasons like weather changes, pee accidents, spit up, etc. I feel you are getting a kick out of thinking your DB is leering at you. If if he is, that’s totally inappropriate for you to entertain that. I do not agree with a nanny having to be very beautiful to get her dbs interest, because many average looking nannies get hit on. I think you need to act more professional at work and cut the DB stuff. Also, where is your charge while you’re cooling off? |
* cooling off |
| Somewhere on another forum, DB is asking for advice on whether to fire an otherwise good but super inappropriate nanny who strips her clothes off every time she comes inside. |
| Weird paragraph poster strikes again! |
