No, I am not a troll.
As for the teacher comparison, in all fairness teachers usually do not have to push a stroller up hills in triple-digit temperatures + stand in the sun and push a young child on the swing or go down the slide w/them.
(Not complaining or trying to elicit any pity here -

And since the A/C is typically set at 78 degrees, it still feels a little warm when I come home so I turn it down to 76 for about fifteen minutes.
The parents say anything not below 76 is okay.

And thanks to the PP who responded that turning on the fan while running the A/C is a waste of electricity.
I always thought fans were like a few cents an hour to run.

Anyway, my charge is fine while I cool off.
She usually occupies herself immediately w/a book or toy.

Nanny here. You are very much in the wrong. I don’t care for your excuses and comparison to teachers. You’re not a teacher, and I doubt any professional would ever act like this. I think it’s highly unprofessional you would do this at work, cameras or not. How about cooking yourself off with a washcloth and a change of clothes? You can bring a new top to work. My employers let me keep extra clothes to work for reasons like weather changes, pee accidents, spit up, etc.

I feel you are getting a kick out of thinking your DB is leering at you. If if he is, that’s totally inappropriate for you to entertain that. I do not agree with a nanny having to be very beautiful to get her dbs interest, because many average looking nannies get hit on. I think you need to act more professional at work and cut the DB stuff. Also, where is your charge while you’re cooling off? [/quote]
