| Walking into 76-80 degrees from AC after being out in 100 degree heat doesn't feel hot... It feels cool, but not so cold that kids cool down too quickly. This whole thread is ridiculous. I'm only 33, but guess what? I didn't have AC growing up. We went out and played, came home, took a 3 minute rinse off shower. I play with kids outside, push strollers, whatnot. When we get back, I do my normal things, wiping off sweat as needed, just like I do at the park. (I also wear clothing conducive to staying cooler.) If I turned the AC down before I left for 2-6 hours, doing that everyday would raise my employers' bill. It's a waste of electricity and a waste of money. |

^^^^ I am sure that people who can afford private Nannies can also afford to pay their utility bills.
I would find it odd and offensive if my bosses even mentioned what the maximum air temperature should be??! How is this even an issue???? It’s like them asking you not to flush the toilet if you just pee or to make sure to run the washer on the Express cycle using cold water settings only. I could never work with such ridiculous restrictions!! |
By the way, felling hot or cold is VERY subjective so it would make zero sense to argue this point any more.... |
