The two women were told it was a house cleaning job. One woman "suffered multiple contusions, lacerations and other injuries." Clearly raped. Burke, VA

We're getting more Craigslist horror reports.
Realtors have been assaulted too.
Advice, please.

Any advice from nanny employers?

About 4 out of 7 nannies we interviewed brought someone with them- sister, friend, son. So that's an idea.

Weird. And you somehow attracted 4 strange people to your job listing, might want to rewrite that bad boy.

Thank you. I think that's actually a good idea I had not thought of.

I have no idea what your comment means. I didn't post a listing- these were all references. But two nannies didn't drive so their family member came in when her. I made them
Coffee and they just sat and we all chatte for a few minutes before starting the interview. The other two were referred by a friends nanny and that nanny accompanied them. I didn't think it was a big deal or strange and frankly seems like a good idea for someone interviewing with a stranger.

PP here. Maybe the person accompanying the nanny can come in for a second to make sure you're comfortable then wait in the car? But again, the people stayed the entire time and it was totally fine with me.

Your lie makes no sense. If friends and family recommended these people to you why would they come with backup? Surely this common connection called their nanny friend to let them know they recommended them to you and that you are a wonderful person, well except for the pathological lying problem.

Hahaha why would I lie about this? The OP appreciated the rec also so let it rest. Some of these nannies came from friends of friends of friends. But you are kinda cracking me up with your responses.

I google the hell out of them and give my DH their names and address. I also keep pepper spray in my purse.

Foreign nannies seem more likely to do that. Good for them.
