I wouldn't care about the hair as much as OP's annoying personality.

We have become so intolerant on DCUM. This is her choice and it is part of her culture. What if the potential MB thought that cornrows, or dreadlocks were unprofessional on an AA person. Would you be so quick to pounce on OP?

I'm sure all the negative posters think that all male nannies are pedophiles.

Let's stop judging people by their appearance.

Are you kidding me? Her hair is part of her "culture"? Which one would that be?
Guess what OP, and everyone defending her, people make first impression judgements based on appearance. It's how the entire world works. OP is going to have a pretty tough time if she needs to whine and play the victim every time someone doesn't like her appearance.

Wow again.

A people's culture is defined by the people themselves. .. not outsiders.
Columbus and other European explorers thought their culture was better than the Native population. The natives had to conform or Die.

Ok, incoherent rambling aside, could you define what culture, exactly OP is representing (and apparently being discriminated for) with her hair?

What a large number of posters are also missing is that the mb in question was beyond rude, and that many of you think it's ok to be rude if you don't agree with how someone looks. Also the idea that hair color, tattoos and piercings are bad for children and those that have them have criminal tendencies, cannot keep jobs and/or are somehow inferior to you. This is part if what is wrong with the world.

She represents her culture.

Yes, it is that simple. You believe your culture of brown, black, blond, and auburn hair to be superior.

Are you also a "cam model" OP?

I am dumbfounded (that might be too big of a word for you, sorry). I don't even know how to respond to your complete nonsense. Just stop.

You should have posted a review on her saying she is fat!! Same thing. She has 2 kids, American so most likely fat. She was rude and condescending so the fatso deserves it.

OP, I wouldn't care if a nanny had multicolored hair. Not my thing, but not something that would bother me.

That being said - you need to think about whether your style pigeonholes you to a certain personality type (employer). It sounds like this woman would have been a terrible fit for you anyway. Maybe you want to only work for people like you (and me) who don't care what color other people's hair is. If so, understand that that will necessarily limit your options.

Her review of you reflects poorly on her. Your response should be limited to, "We had agreed to meet at 4:00. I provided a phone number in case of an emergency. Due to traffic, I arrived at 4:04. ____ saw me but chose to leave without meeting me or conducting an interview." Full stop.

Do this, if you want to guarantee that everyone thinks you are a nutjob. Despite what this person says, it's not classy or professional to comment others' bodies.
