I hated it. The content was extraordinarily annoying. I did it for about 3 weeks to make sure I wander just being irritable. Stopped when the stupid app said something along the lines of, “Good job! You deserve a cookie.” It literally said, “you deserve a cookie.” So many problems with that.

Here's my experience with Noom. FYI, I've lost 50-75 pounds very easily on WW 3 times over the course of the last 30 years. But I thought I would give Noom a shot.

You go on the app and you are bombarded with questions and inspirational messages. The questions ask for your diet history and your motivation to lose weight. They ask how much weight you want to lose and give you a time frame, like 12 weeks to lose 10 pounds. Then they continue to ask questions. You can tell what the "right answer" to the questions are. You would be asked something like "Do you want to eat fresh healthy foods on your new diet, or do you prefer to eat fast food and preprocessed foods?" When you give the "right" answer, Noom comes back and tells you that you can reach your goal even faster, 10 lbs in 10 weeks. Then more questions and you'll be able to reach it in 8 weeks. So you go ahead and sign up for Noom for 8 weeks and then you are bombarded with a series of inspirational texts and emails asking you how psyched you are to be doing Noom. But there's actually no substance to what you are doing. What exactly are you supposed to be doing? The only guidance you've been given is an email that says foods with water are a more sensible choice than foods without water, example grapes are better than raisins. Well ,that's good to know, but very few people form a diet around raisins and grapes. There is no constructive advice about what to eat.

This tells me that the Noom people don't really LOVE it. Or you'd get real responses, OP.

I personally find the searches annoying - you can't really effectively search for only good threads - you get all threads that include "Noom" and that's a lot.

When I search for Noom I get 431 results, of varying quality.

OP I've never done Noom, and now that I konw the Noom adherents are not willing to talk about it - well, that's telling, for me.

It's just another calorie-restricted diet, with lame motivational messaging. Nothing groundbreaking.

OP, run a search in this forum. There is tons and tons of info out there.

I can't really find a lot of info on their website other than it teaches you to think differently. If you are actually doing NOOM, I would love to hear all about it- how to get started, what the entire process is, a typical day, etc. Thanks.
