Has anyone tried it? Is it worth the cost? |
Works for some. I didn’t like it. Articles not helpful (nothing new to me) and sort of annoying. Not a huge fan and don’t see it as worth $, but if it works for YOU, then it’s worthwhile. Do the free trial and quit before it ends. You can RE-do the free trial several times. I keep trying it and keep realizing nope...it’s not for me. |
DH has been using it for 2 weeks and has lost 5.5 lbs so far. He really seems to be enjoying using it. |
I don’t really like it either. I think ww is better. The tracking is so much easier through ww. Some of the psychology part is good through noom, but I dont really find it to be enough to truly impact me. |
I find it interesting that no one no ever says what it IS though. Are you forbidden? |
I loved it, I lost about 20 lbs with it and exercise.
It's a diet program and also tries to get to the root of the problem with psychology lessons. If you want more information, google it. |
But what’s the point? Anyone can read a self help book. I did google it. There is no specificity. |
I tried it, and wasn't nuts about it. But I am doing a program right now that combines the mindset aspect with diet awareness and education. It's expensive, but you get a personal coach and lots of attention, so I like it. Could check this out as well: https://bodysmartfitness.com/ |
+1 Ha. This! |
I did Noom's free trial twice, didn't like it, but forgot to cancel the second time so I'm stuck with it.
I didn't think Noom really taught me anything I didn't know, I prefer tracking calories on My Fitness Pal, and I listen to Half Size Me podcasts (though I don't have as much to lose as "half" of me, it's still helpful). I also use the Coach Me app to record whether I food track, exercise, or do some kind of activity each day. These are all free. |
It sounds like WW is a better option. Myfitness pal never works for me. |
I did the trial and dropped it halfway through about a month ago. It just seem to be a glorified food tracker, and not as good at that as many of the free options. |
It's a bunch of texts you are supposed to respond you, articles your coach will send you, and a calorie tracker that's hard to use. |
DH is using it. Their whole concept is about limiting calorie dense foods. They put foods into three categories — red, yellow, and green. Green are the least calorie dense and you can have the most of it. Yellow is the middle, and then red is the most restricted. They give you a calorie budget based on your weight and weight goal, and then divide up that budget into the color categories. Then they give you articles to read to learn about nutrition, exercise, etc. You can track your water intake and your weigh-ins with the app, too. There may be other things Noom does, but that’s what he talks about the most. |
How much does Noom cost? |
