Maybe this man is the 1% that isn't. But don't fall into the trap of coming up with excuses or being so open minded that logic flies out of the window. I'd have a long and firm discussion with him. Regardless of his orientation if he can't get hard for you, you know what you need to do.

I went to her wedding and her then husband was very put together and sounded in his voice quality. It was 100% clear to me at the time that he was gay (he had an InSync dance at the reception and he looked super gay dancing).

Months later they divorced and it turned out guy got married because of his conservative parents and he tried "fitting in" as straight. I think a lot of people have conservative families and are afraid to come out.

Someone earlier wrote.."it's 2017"...Well there are still very conservative places/parents in the Us and some young people try to fit in and please their families.

OP...don't marry someone who doesn't want sex before the wedding. It will be nonexistent after and you may want a kid someday or just like to have sex.

My DH, father of 2, married for 20 years loves to decorate seasonally. He decorates the dining room table with little tchotchkes related to the season: leaves in the fall, wildflowers in spring, etc. It's cute. That's the only decorating he is interested in, though.



Does he wear a dress when he is putting the tchotchkes around the dining room table?

I think my ex is gay or bi and he has all the issues you see in your bf. I caught him masturbating in the bathroom once with door shut. I found questionable porn on his computer. He could never get off with sex. He would have to finish with his hand. I don't have that issue in my current relationship and my new bf is much hotter.

LOL. I'm sorry but the dancing to the NSYNC song at the wedding is hilarious.

I knew this guy once who loved to impersonate MJ and had a bunch of youtube videos up of himself dancing to MJ and lipsynching. I love MJ but this guy was super gay. He would even grab his crotch and do that little high pitched sound that MJ would do.

So how do I find out. He is not going to admit something like this and if he isn't then what an awk situation if I were to ask him! What can I do to find out, or narrow it down more?


What does it really matter, OP? He's not interested in sex with you and he has no sex drive. Are you saying that if he's straight then you will be okay with the way things are? Because his drive isn't likely to increase - on the contrary, once you marry and have kids it will likely be gone forever. Whether it's because he's actually gay or because he just has a low libido - you will still be in a sexless relationship/marriage - either way.

I had a boyfriend in grad school who I later learned was gay. I would never expected it given that he was a college athlete and frat guy. Looking back, his low level of sex drove should have been a sign. He was also more vain than any other man I dated but I think that was just his personality. Also, I felt like the relationship stalled after three or four months even though we always had a lot of fun together. Lastly, he drank too much, like black out drunk once a month, I think it was a reaction to the stress of trying to repress his sexuality.

If the answer to either one of these questions is "no", then you shouldn't be in a relationship with him. Doesn't matter if the question is "are you gay?" or "do you want to vacation in Cancun?" -- if you can't ask him and you don't trust him, then bail.

The chatter on this and other threads tell me that as a bisexual man it's ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS best to stay in the closet and never share my sexuality with a woman (whereas being a bisexual woman is often seen as a plus by men.)
