Does it bother anyone that the same people who post on the explicit forum post here?

Sex isn't immoral. Attacking someone like a pack of wild dogs is immoral. I see a lot more of one of those here in OT.

I can talk graphically about sex and reproduction without blushing. I learn some interesting things there and share info on other things. People should have a place to do that without being judged. I'm not in a stage of life that's conducive to hooking up. I suspect most of the other posters are too. That's not what we're all posting about.

OP's husband is probably That Smiley Face Guy. I always thought he was married to a prude

What a coincidence, us too! Go Wobegon Leonards!

Does it bother anyone that most of the ballerinas painted by Degas were prostitutes?

It really offends me when I look at his other paintings to know that he also painted and spent time with prostitutes.

(Note - not making a comparison between the quality of ANY writing on DCUM (explicit or not) and Degas' work)

LOL! Great reference!!! Now you are a small and well-educated woman (or man!).

It seems a bit strange to me that all of us are posting about our children, pregnancies, schools, etc right alongside people who are posting that drivel in explicit? I'm no prude but some of that stuff is really out there and crude. Seems like a strange forum to add to a parenting website.

They are nicer and more generous than the folks on the parenting and school forums.

Was gonna say this. There is some very unpleasant stuff on the sex forum, but nothing as unpleasant as the race baiting (both ways, folks) and the over the top SES snobbery that takes place on the other

You do know that there is a certain percentage of male and female who will hit on and sleep with anything. Don't let it feed your ego...oh wait it's too late.

No, it bothers me that people who post racist and misogynistic drivel on all the other forums post here. The Explicit people aren't hurting anyone. Grow up.

But it seems to detract from the brand of DCUM as a family site, if that has any revenue value. I guess DCUM in general was always not really family friendly at heart, however!

This is so funny! Are you serious? It "detracts from the brand of dcum as a family site"??? Awesomeness.

I have to say that the fact that the list owners include the explicit forum on their "family site" gives me a great deal of respect for them. I also love the fact that Jeff refused to let google kill the explicit forum when they went after it. As far as I can tell, Jeff and Maria are giving parents a chance to discuss the things that they want to talk about in the way that they choose to discuss them. For the most part they don't control the discussions that they allow on their forum unless it becomes severely ugly and pointless. I have a great deal of respect for that approach.

The explicit forum is fun and silly and most of the time it is pretty friendly over there. You respectable "off-topic" people need to lighten up. Some sexy, fun discussions would be really good for you! Maybe post a picture of your panties instead of getting them all in a twist

AGREED WITH OP.

Just my opinion but that sex forum should be locked away from public eyes and have a log in type thing there.

DCUM segregates it very well I think. You really have to go looking for it as it doesnt show up otherwise.

Exactly, I find that the explicit forum has more down to earth and gentle people compared to the other forums. People there aren't mean spirited and nasty. It's probably the only forum on DCUM where the majority of the people are nice.

I'll have to disagree with the 'nicer' part. Yes, there's less judging in Explicit but it seems whenever I post something in reply to a post about someone cheating, I'm a 'prude,' 'judgmental,' 'uptight,' etc.......like are you fucking kidding me?? And some even say that because it's Explicit, everyone should be fine with anything. Um no. I'm VERY open minded when it comes to sex but I have a right to disagree with the cheaters on there just as much as anyone else posting.

Oh, so you go there AND post? Why? So you show them you are superior? You are really a piece of work.

Not the pp-- but I get her. Cheating and non-vaccinators are my push buttons. I just get drawn in when I see those topics and have to give someone a piece. Have all the kinky sex you want--just don't lie and cheat and NEVER go for a married person. Never.

My girlfriends and I were all well-educated, hot girls from good families and a married dude was not somethkng anyone would EVER morally consider. Plus--no thanks-- for my DH I wanted someone without baggage. I was in my mid-20s and so was he-- I used to have married guys at work hit on me all of the time and always thought they were pathetic--even the hot charming ones.

Let's see some proof that you and your girlfriends are hot.
