It sounds like Trudeau was right, Trump is serious about invading Canada

I saw her say it and thought it was a good joke. Sadly, the left has zero sense of humor and they think Trump is actually planning on invading Canada. I should't be surprised, but I am.

(go ahead and bookmark this page. I will too, so in four years I can come back and laugh at all the libs melting down)

Eff you.

Trump is an idiot, and he likes to apply his Queens real estate tactics to everything. That means saying outrageous things, to get his negotiating adversary to blink in order to stave off an imaginary catastrophe.

The smart thing to do is ignore him, and not give an inch.

Tariffs are another deal - I’m sure he’s serious about those. A Canadian boycott makes sense to wield economic pressure, but honestly it has to be pretty targeted to have an impact on the massive US economy.

They do seem to have targeted plans. We can help it out by also boycotting red state goods and buying Canadian.

If you really wanna help...move to Canada.

He is following Putin’s playbook:
- grab power
- put your friends in all important government positions
- amend the constitution to be re-elected (working on 3rd term)
- get rid of independent media (watch for that next)
- invade neighbouring sovereign countries

He's already trying to control the media.

We're all taking it seriously.
Shoppers aren't buying American goods, people are suddenly interested in joining the military, and even Quebec is feeling the patriotism.
We all know that if the US were to actually invade, we'd fall within hours. Most people aren't willing to die on day one but we'd wreck havoc as the "51st state", which we all know would be a territory with no rights.

Ugh I hate this for you all. It’s bad enough we’re destroying our own country, we do not need to bring down our peaceful neighbors with us.

Please know many many Americans are against this! If there were an asylum program for us to move to Canada I would seriously consider it at this point.

I am rooting for Canada tonight.

Then you're no longer an American hockey fan, and certainly not worthy as a Caps fan.

How is going to war saving the money of the American people??

This will raise the debt.

What do you mean, even Quebec? It's not France who is trying to invade you, you know

- French person.

Quebec are known to be kind of separatist within Canada. It’s the whole French speaker thing. If they’re onboard, you know we’re in trouble. Tourist towns in the NE are going to be hurting big time if the Quebecois stop their roadtrips.

Olbermann is a deranged idiot, as is anyone that listens to him.

You are literally the most annoying person on this website. No one cares you are French. You are obviously so incredibly ignorant about North American politics if you don't understand that comment about Quebec. Go back to France.

Kind of?
They’ve come very close to seceding more than once.

PP you replied to. It was a *joke*. The point is that Quebec is French-leaning, NOT US-leaning. So if the threat comes from the US, Quebec will of course defend Canada.

What on earth is your problem???

And excuse me, but I think I know more about geopolitics than you. It's kind of my job! Hence the joke...

Sigh. Don't mimic your Dear Leader and attack all your Allies.

I'm not watching tonight. Despise the US coach for stoking the nationalism as well as the players are whooping it up with chants of "51st"! I don't have a problem with politics in sports - but that doesn't mean I will then watch it.

I hope Canada wipes the floor with the US team.

And it’s the US GM—Bill Guerin…he likes Trump and true to MAGA form he’s a POS who covered up a sexual assault and fired the guy who reported it. He can burn in hell.

But this does mention invasion. Trump is hoping to use economic leverage.

I don't think he knows how states join the union though. He probably thinks it's just up to him.

They'd have to become US territory first and then ask to become states. As if.
