Violation---is the conversation which started discussing hiring Overton then about how 10+ kids will be transferring from ither schools and some pretending to be homeless?

Think some mentioned earlier that sports may not have been the only reason the kids transferred. They probably liked the fact that Hayfields academics were better, some other things could have attracted them, and football could’ve just been the tipping factor.


It isn't better academically than DeMatha.

It’s better price wise.

1. First it was "We didn't cheat"
2. Then it pivoted to "Everyone who says we cheat is a racist"
3. Now it is "Sure we cheated, but good luck proving it."

By the way, this is national news now. It’s being covered on sports talk radio, sports illustrated, USA Today, etc. Is this truly the kind of press we want for our top ranked county? All individuals involved need to go and need to go now. Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Principal, DSA, Coach, assistant coaches, parents and players. All knew what was going on and were complicit.

Some parents are willing to invest in the education of their children. It is a shame you aren’t.

To whoever was asking why they didn’t verify everyone’s residence - I think this is your answer.

They couldn’t and are actually discouraged from doing it by the federal government.

Special place in a hot place for people who abuse this act and end up hurting actual homeless kids.

It was supposed to come out Sept/Oct. I think they have to report it out but I’m not sure where that’s done. Would be interesting to see the year over year change. Going to guess it’s a very small population that went up dramatically.
