Remove Reid, if not resign your seat or face a recall. The football games give a great venue to start collecting signatures for recall petitions for board members. As VA has funny recall laws, the petition should accuse the specific board member of neglect of duty to protect the student athlete and follow rules and incompetence for re-upping Reid recently. 10% of those who voted in the last school board election for that seat are needed to sign.

They behind her. Just gave her a raise. Dunne is your best bet.

Sorry guys, appreciate the idea - but these folks don't give two whits about signatures on a page and most of the current outrage will dissipate by next election. In fact, they're counting on that.

More significant and (importantly) immediate disruption is needed - boycotted games, no spectators showing up, more local/national news coverage etc.

You miss the point, the signatures force the board members to a trial that they have to spend time and money (their own) on in front of a judge to keep their positions or get booted. No need to get people out to vote. It will get their attention real quick. Make them feel the pain for their incompetence. The district reps need about 3,000 to 4,000 signatures to send them to trial. A big number, but not undoable especially with football games and other sports. Each high school can likely pull it off on their rep.

This is what half of these posts are really about, under the guise of caring about HS football. 🙄

Just stop. I am a democrat and I believe in rules and fair play. It is shocking that FCPS has completely ignored wrongdoing found by the governing body. Claiming “misinformation” without providing information is weak. Refusing to release the internal investigation in the foia request is wrong.

Agree, and I had no opinion on Reid either way until this story came along and she had that parent meeting at Hayfield where she basically told them to eff off.

It's Freefield not Freedomfield.

Fairfax County should implement a Dept of Govt efficiency. First think to look at - FCPS

If this is thorough, there goes Madison's baseball dominance.

Careful what you wish for

1.) The actual Fairfax County residents need to be at that 12/4 hearing in support of VHSL

2.) if a team chooses to play Hayfield, pack the stands for that team every game. If your team isn’t playing somebody else, go the game. For instance, go to the Edison v Hayfield game and pack the stands for Edison.

Obviously Reid has not heard that the majority is not with Freedom/Hayfield Football.

Everybody vs FreeField Football

I'm planning on attending the Hayfield-Edison game and I'll sit on the Edison side. I'll plan on reporting back the mood/crowd. Since Edison is less than 3 miles away from Hayfield, they may get a decent away crowd/protest crowd.

By all means. Hayfield appreciates the money. Thanks!

The South County coach did not say or do anything racist, I don't even understand where that accusaton is coming from.

True but he got together the coaches to forfeit and when you have no other defense you scream racism and far left wing people like Reid get scared and do whatever you say.

Oh I see you get to play civil war on this thread. Now I see why you're so invested.

They won’t do anything! A coach can’t make a parent move or force them to. The judge will not go for that at all or believe it. 🤣 VHSL failed and made an emotional decision! Unfortunately guys all them parents had the money to move in the area. If it’s a 100 kids, sorry guy! I have to say this guy Coach Overturn has to be something special for parents too relocate. Seriously

Stop using this situation to support your racist MAGA views. This is who you are aligning with DCUM. Look at you!

They would appreciate the money, what with all the homeless kids they let in to play football this year. Hopefully the gate revenue can go to give those poor homeless Hayfield football players clothes, toiletries, school supplies etc...

Just say you want a MAGA school board and stop pretending you care about this situation.

Wow this looks to be accurate!

The principal doesn't "approve transfers so they can play". That's not how it works.

He wasn't the principal at Hayfield. He is the principal now at Centreville.

Let me start by saying...yikes.

You can't even get the name of the guy whose knob you are polishing right. Man, every time an Overton booster posts, I feel worse and worse for the kids who have parents who thought it a good idea to follow this guy.

I beg you to not procreate btw.

Do you really think Edison will play? i don't.

That’s up to them. But if they do, the county better be there to support them. Go Eagles!!!

Makes the gate sweeter for both schools, the more the merrier
